PROGRAM ON DAHLIAS
OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES ELECTION
GERANIUM TIME AGAIN
NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, March 17, 7:30 PM,
At the North Branch Reformed Church
As cold as it was in January, the month of February turned out to be nearly the polar opposite with many mild and downright warm days. In our planting zone, Saint Patrick’s Day is often considered the start of the gardening campaign with many of us inaugurating the season by planting a few rows of peas. Since our next meeting takes place on this holiday, and with yard cleanup starting several weeks early because of the warm weather, the evening of March 21 would be a good opportunity to commiserate with fellow gardeners who are likely to be of a similar physical state, sore and tired. Master Gardener Connie Callas, after giving a rousing slideshow on daffodils last November, returns again to talk about dahlias. Based on our past experiences with Mr. Callas, the program should be filled with terrific slides and crisp narrative, and probably could go a long way to helping you forget about those aching muscles and bones.
The nominating committee, headed by former President Larry Hass, presented the slate of nominees for the officer and trustee positions in February, and the membership will now be asked to vote on these selections at the meeting. As a reminder and for those who were not in attendance, the candidates are as follows:
Officers
Trustees (3 year term)
